3nd Annual Golf Outing to Support Scouting

 Unit Leaders,

I request your assistance in distributing the following information as widely as possible. Please share with your Unit Parents and use the attached flyer to post in community centers, place of worship, and other gathering areas.

On September 10, 2012 the Patriot District will host our 3nd annual Golf Outing to Support Scouting. The event will be hosted by the Honorable David Bulova, Virginia Delegate for the 37th District and Pat Herrity, Fairfax County Supervisor Springfield District. For full event information, please visit our website at  www.BoyScouts-NCAC.org/PatriotGolfTournament where you can register your 4 person team. This event is open to the entire community, not just Scouters, so dust off those clubs and gather your friends and neighbors for a day of fun and fellowship on the course to benefit your local scouting programs.

Scouting Fundraiser at Joe's Crab Shack

Our Patriot District Friends of Scouting committee has come up with a new great way to raise funds for our Boy Scouting program.  Joe's Crab Shack in Fairlakes will donate 10+% of all sales on Sunday, March 18th, when diners identify their affiliation with this cause!

This is easy -- go to Joe's on March 18th between noon and 6:00pm, order your favorites on the menu, and hand your server a copy of the attached flyer.  Joe's does the rest -- donating 10% of the dinner bill to the Friends of Scouting community campaign!  All food and beverages (and especially dessert) are included!  There is no limit on the size of your party so bring along friends, neighbors, and extended family members, as well.

Mark your calendars and come out to Joe's Crab Shack on March 18th to show your support for Joe's very generous support of the Scouting program.  Remember to take a copy of the attached flyer!

Yours in Scouting,

Doug Hess

Vice Chair, Communications

Patriot District
