Patriot District Unit Leaders: The National Capital Area Council has been selected to participate in the Mandatory Direct Leader Training program of the Boy Scouts of America. This program is very important to our units because it means that in order to re-charter for 2011, each "direct leader" must complete a list of "mandatory" training. So who is a "direct leader" and what are the "mandatory" training requirements. Glad you asked. The answer is included below: This Link has a chart with the titles for direct leaders and their mandatory training requirements. If you are a direct leader, you must complete the mandatory training requirements. To report completion of the mandatory training requirements use the form included in the attachment to this message. Patriot District direct leaders must complete this form as soon as possible, and return it to Philip Sternberg phil.sternber@gmail.com. Phil will coordinate updating the BSA ScoutNet through NCAC. Thanks for your support. If you have any questions, contact Philip Sternberg, preferably by email, or by phone, 703-960-0205. |

Roundtable Presentation on Bullying
At the next roundtable there will be a presentation on bullying. During the February Roundtable, when the presentation was first presented, it was decided that this was an important enough topic to be given again with plenty of advance notice. So I invite all of you to come to the Patriot District roundtable on March the 11th and listen to this very important topic. To answer the question "Why talk about Bullying?"
.here are some thoughts
